Liu Hongbin was elected as a Foreign Academician of the European Academy of Natural Sciences

Liu Hongbin, inheritor of the Chinese intangible cultural heritage of Liu's acupuncture in traditional medicine, was elected as a Foreign Academician of the European Academy of Natural Sciences.

 

 

 

The headquarters of the European Academy of Natural Sciences is located in Hannover, Germany. It was founded by academicians of multiple academies and well-known academic groups, covering international scientific organizations in 33 countries including Germany and Russia. It is one of the most recognized and influential scientific organizations in terms of cross regional and academic recognition internationally. The European Academy of Natural Sciences currently has over 1700 academicians, many of whom are recipients of world-renowned scientific and technological awards such as the Nobel Prize, Einstein Prize, and Copernicus Prize. The European Academy of Natural Sciences adopts a strict system of academician replacement, and elected academicians need to go through strict academic evaluation and legal processes such as academician recommendation, formal review, defense review, voting, presidium review, notary public notarization, and medal awarding. The main assessment is the academic achievements, creative contributions, and influence of candidates. Several Chinese academicians from both academies serve as foreign academicians of the European Academy of Natural Sciences

 

 

Liu Hongbin, born into a family of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners in Yunnan, the hometown of herbal medicine, has benefited immensely from the rich natural resources of flora and fauna in the colorful Yunnan province, which have provided abundant natural materials for his pursuit of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). His early education at Beijing Guangming College of Traditional Chinese Medicine laid a solid foundation for his theoretical understanding of TCM, enabling him to both inherit and innovate in this field. Guided by the holistic philosophy of "harmony between man and nature" in TCM, his practices and applications have not only promoted the development of TCM in Yunnan but also advanced the province's healthcare industry.

 

As a result of his outstanding contributions, Liu Hongbin has garnered numerous prestigious domestic and international accolades, including being recognized as the inheritor of China's Intangible Cultural Heritage (Traditional Medical Liu's Acupuncture), an innovator of the parallel practice of acupuncture and medicine with rapid needle techniques, a senior researcher in acupuncture and nutritionology of traditional Chinese medicine, a senior Daoist physician of the Quanzhen Sect and Wudang Sect, an expert in chronic disease prevention and treatment at the Grassroots Medical and Health Working Committee of Beijing Promotion Association for Prevention and Treatment of Chronic Diseases with Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, a specially-appointed expert in acupuncture and nutritionology of traditional Chinese medicine at the Zhang Zhongjing National Museum, a Health Promotion Ambassador for the Healthy China Initiative, Vice Chairman of the Great China Medical Think Tank, Chairman of the Health Consultancy Committee of Guoyi Network, member of the China Association for the Promotion of Traditional Chinese Medicine Research, member of the Non-pharmacological Therapy Working Committee of the China National Association of Ethno-Medicine, member and councilor of the China Medical Doctor Association, military and civilian medical talent of the China Medical Doctor Association, an international senior lecturer, Chairman of the first leadership group of the Research and Development Section of Traditional Chinese Medicine Technology of the Education Center, member of the Council of the China Council for the Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine, member of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, member of the China Taoist Medicine Association, Executive Director of the Council of the China Scientists Forum, specially-appointed observer of the Discover Magazine, representative of the research project on Liu's Ancient Secret Acupuncture with Metaphysical Principles, Representative Inheritor of China's Intangible Cultural Heritage and Master of Representative Skills, National Medical Master, Acupuncture Master, Ambassador for the Spread of Civilization Along the New Silk Road, and Inheritor of World Intangible Cultural Heritage Projects (Liu's Ancient Secret Acupuncture with Metaphysical Principles, China Time-honored Brand Baoyungui Series Products, and Baoyungui Herbal Garden).
